We are pleased to welcome Dierk Raabe, Director at the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials. With a background in metallurgy and materials science, he earned his doctorate and habilitation from RWTH Aachen University and is internationally recognized for his pioneering work in sustainable metallurgy, alloy design, and computational materials science.
His research focuses on the development of sustainable and high-performance materials, including green steel production, hydrogen-based metallurgy, recycling-oriented material design, and the application of artificial intelligence in materials science.
He will give a lecture sharing insights from his research, professional experiences, and recent developments in sustainable materials science and engineering.
