Location: Junior Professorship of Multi-scale Modeling of Heterogenous Catalysis in Energy Systems (MODES), RWTH Aachen University (Hybrid)
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Canan Acar, Associate Professor specializing in integrated hydrogen energy systems. With a background in Chemical and Mechanical Engineering, she holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Ontario Tech University (Canada) and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology (USA).
Her research focuses on the integration of renewable-based hydrogen energy systems across sectors such as buildings, mobility, and industry, with an emphasis on developing efficient, circular, and resilient energy systems.
She will give a lecture on “Beyond Efficiency and Cost: Rethinking Hydrogen Production.”
